Anatoliy Tashkinov

Biography

He was born on October 24, 1956 in Krasnoturjinsk, Sverdlovskaya oblast. Anatoly A. Tashkinov graduated from Perm polytechnic institute in 1979.

Since 1987, Tashkinov is working at Perm National Research Polytechnic University and at different times held the following leadership positions: vice-rector for advanced educational technologies (1998–2000), vice-rector for educational activity (2000–2005), first vice-rector (2005–2011), since August 2011 — rector.

In 2002, the University under the direction of Anatoly A. Tashkinov was successfully completed an integrated assessment, and received state license and accreditation for five years for all applied educational programs.

In 2004, he was supervisor of scientific work, which was honored on the competition of innovation projects, organized by administration of Perm region.

In 2007–2008, Anatoly A. Tashkinov was one of the leaders of innovation educational program which won Federal competition for universities within national priority project “Education”. In 2009, University became a winner within competition for development programs of RF universities, for which the status of “national research university” was established.

Anatoly A. Tashkinov is actively involved in research activity in the field of mechanics of composite materials and structures, development of new items for aerospace techniques.

He was awarded diploma of Ministry for education and science of RF “Honorary employee of higher professional education of RF”, 2005. He became President of RF prize laureate in the field of education in 2001.
