Martin is an architect and urban designer with substantial international experience. His particular strength is the ability to integrate different aspects that form the key ingredients to a place and a project and go far beyond a purely professional approach. Throughout his career, Martin consciously has worked in different scale levels ranging from the design of details and furniture to urban plans of regional scale. Today this allows him to successfully lead complex urban and architectural commissions from concept design all the way to construction.
After graduating in architecture in Munich (D), Martin worked for Austrian architect Bruno Spagolla in Vorarlberg (A). Until today his work is
characterized by the understanding he acquired there about how buildings are physically made and what is necessary to achieve quality in the collaboration between architects, clients and those building the project.
Martin then extended his expertise in urban development in studying at the Bauhaus University in Weimar (D). Since 2003 he has been in charge of architecture and urban planning projects worldwide. Martin is one of the founding members of MLA+.
