He graduated in 1990 from the Department of Urban Planning at the Novosibirsk Architectural Institute.
After completing his higher education, he worked at the Novosibirsk Region Scientific and Industrial Center for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage, where he was Head of the Historical Development Sector.
From 1999 to 2010, he was the Publisher and the Editor-in-Chief for the architectural magazine Project Siberia (Novosibirsk).
From 2002 to 2003, he was Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the magazine Project International (Moscow).
He was a regular contributor and an invited editor for #56 (Perm), #60 (Large Projects), and the magazine Project Russia (Moscow). From 2007 to 2011, he was Director of the Golden Capital Foundation for Regional Architecture; Chairman of the organizational committee for the Golden Capital Open Russian Festival of Architecture and Design; a member of the organizational committee for the Open Urban Planning forums in Novosibirsk; and a Presidium member of the Siberian Guild of Developers.
In 2008, he was chosen to be a professor at the International Academy of Architecture (Moscow department).
He is a member of the Russian Urban Planners Association.
He has been living and working in Perm since 2011.
