Biography

Born November 15th, 1958.

Higher Education: Graduated from the Perm Polytechnical Institute, specializing in Economics and the Structure of the Mechanical Engineering Industry, and graduated from the Perm State University’s Department of Law. He has a PhD in Economics.

He was the deputy of the Perm Region Legislature, and a member of the Appropriated and Non-appropriated Funds Budget Committee.

He was the director of the EKS Business Group, LLC in 1997.

In January of 2001, he became the Perm Region administrative representative for the Federation Council Assembly of the Russian Federation, and the deputy chairman of the Budgetary Advice Federation Committee.

In April of 2004, he was appointed as the acting Governor for the Perm Region.

On December 1st, 2005, he was appointed as the Governor for the Perm Territory.

On December 1st, 2010, he was again appointed as the Governor for the Perm Territory.

He spends his free time reading books.

He is married with two sons.
