Nikolai Pryanishnikov is an architect and member of the Moscow Union of Architects. He is the head of the Arena Buildings Department at the Experimental Design Institute (EDI); chair of the Partnership Council of the Association of Cultural Managers; instructor in the Cultural Management Department at the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences (courses include The Involvement of Local Communities in Designing an Area’s Strategic Development Plan and Urban and Regional Development); and instructor at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (courses include Urban Development Strategy and Merchantry).
Nikolai Pryanishnikov is an expert and coordinator of more than 150 seminars on local government, museum management (including a Vladimir Potanin Foundation competition), library leadership school, cultural management, cultural tourism, and regional development strategies.
He has designed strategies for developing culture in cities (Pochep, Tolyatti), the Ryazan Region, Khanty-Mansi District, and the Komi-Permyak District. He is the participant and co-author of a number of research projects and plans, including Small Town Development Strategies
Nikolai Pryanishnikov’s research interests include project management, cultural management, urban and regional development, urban planning, architecture of public facilities, urban environment, and tourism.
