Olga Zhukova

Biography

Olga Zhukova graduated with honors from the Theory Department of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Memorial Chelyabinsk Musical School, and later with honors from the Department of Art History and Cultural Studies at the A. M. Gorky Memorial Ural State University in Yekaterinburg.

She holds a Doctorate in Philosophy (2007) and a PhD in Cultural Studies (1999).

She is a Professor in the Cultural Studies Department at the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

She is also a member of the Moscow Designers Union.

She has taught at leading Russian universities:

• Astrakhan State Conservatory;
• P. I. Tchaikovsky Memorial Chelyabinsk Musical Institute;
• The Apostle John Russian Orthodox Institute;
• Metropolitan Academy of Finance and the Arts;
• Diplomatic Academy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;
• Moscow Institute of Science and Technology.

She has led departments of the Arts and various research units, and has been the dean of the Design Department at the Metropolitan Academy of Finance and the Arts.

She is the author of more than 100 research publications, including monographs and textbooks.
